AvalonBay invests the time and money necessary to ensure that each of our communities meets exacting standards for quality design and construction. Since we are a real estate investment trust (“REIT”), and plan to own and manage for the long run, we don’t cut corners. We engage expert architects, engineers and urban planners to create a unique design for each of our communities.

Locally, AvalonBay owns and manages 20 apartment communities and has either developed or redeveloped 14 of those communities. In Montgomery County, Avalonbay owns 6 communities with a total of 2,555 apartment homes. Our most recent Mid-Atlantic developments include Avalon at Gallery Place (D.C.), Avalon at Rock Spring (Bethesda), Avalon at Grosvenor Station (Bethesda), Avalon at Traville (Rockville – Montgomery County) and Avalon at Decoverly (Rockville – Montgomery County), which features Montgomery County's first housing to be built under the County's new Productivity Housing Ordinance.
